Al-Quds Open University started in 1975 based on the needs of the Palestinians for higher education. UNESCO General Conference has approved the university project in 1980. It adopts the Open Distance Learning (ODL) model.

 

The Problem:

Due its model, the Open Distance Learning, QoU decided to accelerate the adoption and best use of ICT-assisted Open Distance Learning (ODL). Demand for ODL in the region and societies already exist.

The MenusSoft Solution:

MenusSoft, through its domain expert Dr. Ezz Hattab, developed an e-learning module that has been used to computerize courses offered by the university. Based on the suggested pedagogical model, MenusSoft developed a rich multimedia module in video/audio, synchronized with animated slides. Online exams and exercises have been introduced as well. The module is capable of being expanded and scaled as future needs dictate.

Educational software

The Client:

 

Students.jo is a local (Jordanian) web community for university, college, high school students, and teens. It offers all what students need. It offers free services and entertainments.

 

The Problem:

Students at universities, colleges, and high schools face problems due to unavailability of the material, e-courses, textbooks, tutorials, previous exams and exercises. Entertainment and digital devices are offered at higher prices that do not meet the financial capabilities of this segment of the society.  Demand for such products and services in Jordanare already exists.

The MenusSoft Solution:

MenusSoft developed a framework for the educational software as services and commodities. The educational software includes most of the common courses (numbered as 101) for the universities. Previous exams of the general secondary exam are also automated and offered through a database with powerful search engine.   The offered courses have a canonical pedagogical model that does not have switching cost for the students. The Client:

 

The Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) promotes health awareness among a wider public, focusing on comprehensive access to information, and helps raise healthy and socially responsible citizens.

 

The Problem:

RHAS would like to offer Jordanians a full access to information related to health awareness. A comprehensive Health Management Information System should provide this information.

 

The MenusSoft Solution:

EurObjects is a European company. It offers various software products and services. It localizes web sites and portals in Europe and specifically in Greece .

 

The Problem:

EurObjects has clients with e-commerce and e-business systems. They have vast content with inefficient searching tool. Users usually face problems in searching the products catalog and their previous orders.

 

The MenusSoft Solution:

MenusSoft through its consultant Dr. Ezz Hattab developed a framework for search engines based on the PageRank algorithm proposed by Google search engine. Pages are indexed based on the inlink and outlink of the pages. Content stored in the databases are also retrieved based on efficient SQL queries. Further, MeusSoft suggested a technique to optimize web sites to position their URLs at top ten of the searching results. Each keyword is optimized for a generic search engine (e.g., Google, yahoo, MSN, etc)

The Problem:

ASKME started its business in event management and training market. They would like to follow up their employees and salespersons. They also promised their clients to follow up their competencies through an electronic portfolio accessible via the net.

It develops a system that combines multiple technologies (i.e., Iris recognition, facial recognition, fingerprint identification) in a single unit. The system capable of recognizing individuals' unique physical characteristics, and using those characteristics as the basis of identification and verification.

 

The Problem:

SafeAccess is a research and development firm that would like to commercialize its products and findings using machine languages. They needed a quality assurance engineer to test the products and produce embedded systems that are integrated into real-time applications.

 

The MenusSoft Solution:

MenusSoft supported SafeAccess by implementing its algorithms and scientific findings. Usually, MenusSoft uses C# to implement algorithms of Iris recognition, facial recognition, and fingerprint identification.

IdealAccountant has hundreds of clients. It offers them various accounting and taxes services. Each client has its special case, which made it difficult for IdealAccountant to adopt commercial of the shelf application to satisfy its clients’ need.

Al Jazy is a shipping and forwarding company established in 1975.  It provides a service to meet the client requirements and offers a complete package in the highest standards of the profession.

 

The Problem:

Al Jazy needs an application to have a secure accessing information (access right and audit manager), to provide online daily reports to other departments/branches and to access online daily reports from other departments/branches. It also needs to access important application/ links like Nurashia system.

 

The MenusSoft Solution:

MenusSoft offered Al Jazy a web portal that is accessible from Intranet of the firm and outside the company as well. ·We supported the web site with a content management system CMS. The portal is connected to the Nurashia using XML parameters. ·We redesigned the desktop application to be a be web-enabled and activate the needed modules.· The framework is capable of being expanded and scaled as future needs dictate.
